Dr. Vengala Rao Pachava is a senior ophthalmic surgeon with advanced training in cataract, cornea, and refractive surgery. He completed his MS in Ophthalmology from Sarojini Devi Eye Hospital, Osmania Medical College, and subsequently pursued the Sir Ratan Tata Phacoemulsification Fellowship at Sankara Nethralaya, Chennai.

He has received international fellowship training in Cornea and External Eye Diseases at the Wilmer Eye Institute, Johns Hopkins University (USA) under the ICO-SAARC program, with additional training at Sankara Eye Hospital, Bangalore.

Dr. Rao has worked across high-volume corporate, tertiary, and academic institutions, including Maxivision Super Speciality Eye Hospitals (Vizag), Vasan Eye Care,Hyderabad, and Sankar Foundation Eye Hospital (Vizag). He has also served as Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology, actively involved in undergraduate teaching and DNB training.

His surgical expertise includes phacoemulsification cataract surgery, complex cataracts with secondary IOL implantation, lamellar and endothelial keratoplasty (DALK, DSAEK), keratorefractive procedures (PRK/LASIK), and ocular surface reconstruction.

He is the Founder and Chief Surgeon of Pearl Vision Eye Hospital, established with the vision of delivering ethical, evidence-based, surgeon-led eye care with continuity from consultation to surgery
